Sep. 18, 2009 -- The SEC adopted an interim final temporary rule on September 18, 2009, extending and expanding the disclosure requirements of the Treasury Department’s Temporary Guarantee Program for Money Market Funds. The guarantee program, which expired on the same day, required participating money market mutual funds to submit their portfolio schedules and related information each week. To facilitate successful oversight of money market funds, the SEC is asking for more information than previously required under the Treasury’s guarantee program.
